Great roundup! Itβs nice to see the interplay between comments this way. This reminds me that I was interrupted while reading one of my favorite poets from you last: Hopkins. I reread beautiful Inversnaid and never got farther! π
Safar ... lovely and hope filled community building post. Another story your readers might enjoy is the story of "The Biggest Little Farm" here in southern California ... here's the trailer for the award-winning movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcQKWkpPB3U
You spurred me into looking up what I'd mentioned. I didn't find exactly the one I was thinking of, but I did find this one that I thought was very interesting, is in French but YT did a pretty good auto-translation subtitles job.
This guy is an amateur veggie gardener who gets good yield just for him & his family using an organic ag approach. I like his clear-eyed view of what people call "permaculture" and it's potential impact. I'd love to hear what you think about it.
Thank you Lorraine, look forward to watching that! I'll get back to you when I do. Right now, I need to put my wellies on and get the olive harvest underway!
This is extraordinary. First, following up the earlier post to extend our thoughts based on the comments and questions that post stirred and second, your seamless weaving of these comments and questions. Surely, we have all learned more and have more to contemplate. And, though I canβt quite put my finger on it yet in fleshed-out words, this inquiry method strikes me as permaculture on the page. Thank you.
I really love this, not just the content, but the idea. It is as though you are harvesting seeds (or comments) with the fruit, replanting and sharing all at a vast dinner table. This approach has so much merit. I am going to have to rethink how I approach comments and conversation here too! Thanks again.
I enjoyed putting it together, Alex. It was my way of expressing gratitude, for taking the time to read and formulate a considered thought about the subject matter, but also by going through the comments enabled me to think more about the different positions, and where I might be able to go with future posts. Thanks really go to everyone here, as without the input, this post could never have been written.

I can relate to that, Tara. Hopkins says it best!

Thank you so much Joyce π I will take a look at this a little later on today and add it to the page.
Thanks for including me in the conversation, I'm so honored! πβ€οΈ
Honoured to have your input! Let us know if you rediscovered the material you were thinking of at the time you commented!

Ooh a climate where you can grow olives, lucky you! It's too cold to do that where I am, but it is a lovely green fertile area nonetheless

I get what you mean, I have that feeling too, there is a direction to all this and the process will culminate in a more overarching philosophical position. Wow, permaculture on the page! You have an admirable way with words, RenΓ©e! Thank you for the share to Notes π
