Hey Safar, what a lovely post! And thank you for sharing F&T and the read alongs. I'm so happy you're getting involved. I also like how you've created a community space on your stack. A fire for everyone to gather around. We need more of these!
I found the Chat space very hard to navigate. Comments aren't nested like they are on posts, so this seemed a good way to do it. I don't know if you've read any of @Tara Penry's posts, but she has a similar place for sharing enchanting posts we find. I've also noticed @Julie Gabrielli is making use of Chat comments to head up the next post she writes, which I like.
You have quite the following, so the pass it over to your readers approach seems prudent. You don't want too much work for yourself. I've seen quite a few say to keep experimenting, find what works for you and your readers. Keeping to schedule is hard enough!
You've just reminded me of work I'd forgotten about, the benefits of lying naked on the earth! This series has me touching, listening and talking to the trees way more than I even used to. I'm sure my neighbours must think I'm mad!
We worked for 4 months on a straw bay/cob house. It was really interesting. We came in toward the end of the cobbing, finished that, then did natural plaster, which I loved. The guy who hosted had built two one story houses, one two story and a smaller round cabin. An incredible feat. I'll see if I can find a link to pics.
Never encountered boar, but I remember the wild boar exclosures we came upon will hiking in the Great Smokies....if a boar was chasing you, you could run to these fenced in areas until they lost interest in you. They were imported years ago by someone who wanted to make the area a game hunting preserve.
Beautiful, Safar, thank you! Ever since your last post, I've been dreaming of trees and I love it. ♥️ (I also just stumbled upon a tree whisperer on Instagram called Kara Daniels who you might like.)
I hear you, I'm hardly ever on any social media these days. I really did happen to stumble upon Kara Daniels IG during a random time I hopped on instagram and it felt like synchronicity after reading your beautiful post. I don't know anything else about her, but I did find her website here: https://www.deeprootconnections.com/ It looks like she had a workshop on tree communication in early November. I'll keep an eye out to see if it she offers it again.
What a beautiful post. There is nothing more healing than the power of nature. I too, have minimized the number of trail runs I can now do as it has started heavily raining in Vancouver, and I do feel like I get tired easily as I am not spending nearly as much time with the trees and birds like I did during the summer.
It's amazing how much difference that time outdoors makes. I've been making the most of it this week with the reprieve we've had from very insistent rain. Hope you get that reprieve too, Amrita.

I shall check them out! Still figuring out the best way to do things – there are so many options!

On a walk, just stop and rest your hand on the bark of a tree. Its as good as walking barefoot, I think.

I know an Ayurvedic practitioner who prescribes earth therapy for allergy sufferers.
Dig a hole deep and wide 🕳️
Plant both feet 👣
Bury. 🗻
Relax 🌱
Do this 30/min daily for 10 days
Says it cures 8 out of 10
Could be why people enjoy making cob with their feet! I'll have to dig out whatever it was I read or saw on the healing power of dirt.
I saw the cob house episode on Grand Designs a few years ago, it was fascinating.

HArd to walk barefoot around here with the acorns and shards of eaten acorns all over. Not to mention the deer scat.....
Haha! We have the same issue with boar and acorns!

Nice for hikers!!

I wonder if she's elsewhere? I'm not on IG anymore.

Trail running - impressive!
